  • Walk-ins only so be prepared to queue. There on a Friday night at 8pm. Queue for 2 took about 15-20mins. Not bad at all. Service was quick and efficient. A warm bowl of noodles on a wet day soothes the soul. Broth was yummy and noodle texture (I chose normal) was just right - not too hard, not too soft. 有口感。I got the Black Spicy Tonkotsu ramen. One of the best chasyu I’ve had so far, melts-in-your-mouth. Freeflow of seasoned bean sprouts and hard boiled egg. Affordable price. What more can one ask for in the ever-inflated price climate? I would say- go for it.

  • Hidden Gem - Hole in the Wall Ramen Stall outside Orchid Hotel. Authentic Tonkatsu Ramen with free hard boiled egg. No alcohol served. Note : The Ramen and Gyoza Restaurants are same company but different service team and separate menus - ie you cannot order ramen with gyoza in usual Ramen & Gyoza bars.

  • The ramen is really good, and the prices are reasonable for Singapore. Boiled eggs are free, which is a nice bonus

  • I have not been here for about 10 years, if I’m not mistaken. Used to dine here fairly regularly before then. I stopped after one occasion when too much “oil” was added to my bowl of ramen and I left feeling pretty sick. Always remembered their ramen for being good though. Finally returned and wasn’t disappointed. Their chashu was as good as what I had in Fukuoka recently and the seaweed they use is thick enough to maintain some bite after soaking up the broth. Another draw they currently have, is their flavoured Japanese colas. I tried the peach and the green tea. Peach was nice but the matcha cola was quite addictive to me. Their service was exceptional too, thanks to the young gentleman running the front of house. Far better than what I remember and it wasn’t even bad back then. Interior is old but has that “dirty Japanese restaurant” charm. The kind that’s supposed to have “the best food”. Won’t be long before I return.

  • Many years ago, I used to come here for their ramen, and back then it was one of the tastiest bowls I’d had. There were a few visits over the years when I felt the quality had dipped, but on my recent return, it feels like the standard is back again. Being able to maintain this style and flavor for so many years is truly commendable. One thing worth mentioning is that the bean sprouts and boiled eggs are free to enjoy in-store, though you can’t take them away. For a place that isn’t exactly cheap, this does add some nice extra value and makes the experience feel more worthwhile. The only drawback is the space — it’s really small. When the shop gets crowded, it can feel quite cramped. The staff do try their best to serve everyone, but sometimes the atmosphere feels a bit tense, and their attitude could be a little friendlier. Still, the quality of the ramen keeps me coming back.

  • Decent bowl of ramen. Had the black tonkatsu ramen. Broth is extremely rich, and slightly creamy. Personally I found it a little too salty but I suppose that’s a matter of preference. I enjoyed the springiness of the noodles and the chashu was tender. Think the staff are a little stretched so they’re a bit curt too. Always busy and the shop is pretty small so be prepared to queue, even on weekdays at 1pm.

  • Still pretty good even though I haven't been back in more than a year. Had their Black Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen Special and it didn't disappoint. The chasyu was soft and the pork fell off the bone easily, while the broth is flavourful. I like that they still kept their free flow hard boiled eggs, though I don't get why they don't let us refill our own water, maybe it's a small space and they don't want customers to walk around too much? But otherwise, it's a good place for your ramen cravings.

  • Came before dinner peak hour to enjoy the quiet dining opportunity. Free flow beanspouts and hard boiled eggs. Noodle was cooked exactly to order, no complaint there.
